GTI gets Launch Control, Is A3 going to get it too?
An insert ad in this month's C&D has a bunch of window stickers listing various features.
Along with DSG is Launch Control..
I wonder if a controller swap will be possible in the future, now that LC has enttered the USA. (In the wrong car :-(

The mechanic at the Audi dealer here in Germany said Euro A3's have LC.
He continued saying it worked by applying the brake and revving the gas, then letting go of the brake.
That's the only thing I have heard about it.

It's been done on TT's (maybe A3's too)
Supposedly, it's $$$. You need to replace the TCM, which is embedded in the tranny itself, which requires you to drain and take apart the tranny. You also need to rewire the shift paddles since the euro TCM supposedly requires different ones.
Let's see if the '07 GTI has the US spec module, at that point, it *may* become a software upgrade.
I wouldn't hold my breath tho...
