Had the buzzing/vibrating open sky noise at 75 mph and found an easy fix.

TSB 60-06-01 linked on an earlier post describes adjusting the open sky sunroof. This is very easy to do yourself and takes less than 20 minutes.
1. Open the sunroof to fully open position. You will see two black plastic covers just above the headliner-1 on each side. Pull these covers off by pulling the top edge down slightly and toward the center of the car.
2. Close the sunroof to tilt up position. There are two more black plastic covers just under the glass. Pull these off. Under these covers you will see 6 (3 each side) torx head screws.
3. Close the sunroof to fully closed position. Loosen, do not remove the 6 screws with a #25 torx head wrench. The glass will now be loose and have a few millimeters movement fore and aft and also vertically.
4. Position the sunroof so the gap between the sunroof and the roof in front is 1-2mm. Push down on the front of the sunroof so it is about 1mm lower than the panel in front of it and position the rear of the sunroof so it is about 1mm higher than the panel in back of it.
5. Tighten the 6 screws and replace the black plastic covers. Test drive.
With mine the vibrating noise was gone and there was very little wind noise even at 80mph. Picture is the 3 torx head screws on one side.
I have linked TSB 60-06-04 that shows removal of the lower black plastic covers. I can't find TSB 60-06-01 that describes adjustment of the sunroof but it was linked in an earlier post.

http://webpages.charter.net/dwarner2/SunshadeBulletin.pdf</a

I currently have a similar "mystery noise" problem on my 06 A4 avant, a tinny vibrating sound at highway speeds that seems to emanate from the top of the B pillar, passenger side. Dealer has been useless in re-creating the noise or identifying the problem. Is this the noise problem you had? Thx
