Has anyone put a stock A3 2.0T on a dyno? How did it do?

Default I don't understand this.. There is NOTHING wrong with dynoing a DSG

You simply put the car on the dyno.. Put it in manual mode and paddle up to 4th gear.. no different then if you were doing a true manual or a tiptronic car.. You pick your start and end mph or rpm and romp on the gas till it gets to the end one.. Same as any other car on the planet.. People are getting way to stupid with this DSG when it comes to dynos.

Default I am feeling the same way. Very frustrated.

I have heard many techs say the same thing as you above. "It should be no problem, 4th gear and mash it."

But for whatever reason, it's not working for people. Maybe people are keeping it mashed until it gets to the rev limiter. This will force a shift into 5th gear, even in TIP.

Maybe I'll try it this Sat at AWE if they have time.

Default Anybody remember the coelacanth from VW ads? :)

However, dinosaurs probably wouldn't have an effective way to measure horsepower, since early horses were just a wee bit smaller (the Hyracotherium was the size of a cat;-)

Default Thats easy to get around.. figure out when it shifts

then only do the run till right before it shifts, so even if it does shift then you don't hvae to worry about ti screwing up the run...

just don't get it..
