I realize this is something of an "apples to oranges" comparison, but price-wise, they're not too far off from each other, at least as far as the 3.2.

My girlfriend and I are shopping for a new car, and we've narrowed it down to these two. I realize there's a big price difference between the X3 and the 2.0T, but we would like to have AWD. My last two cars have been Audis and I love them, but the X3 seems worthy of consideration.

Anyway, as always, thanks in advance for your insights.

I thought about it. I live in DC and the x3 was just a little too big, so i went with the a3 3.2 and love it, although its not as roomy, its perfect for what i use it for. If you plan on going off road go for the x3 for clearance reasons. Otherwise stick with audi-

While the reviews have been fairly favorable for the X3, most reviewers pretty said you would be better off with just a 3 series touring. I honestly think the only reason why you would want to get a X3 is because you can't afford a X5.

I like the styling of the X3 better than the X5 though but come on, nothing is cooler than A3!!

In short, you wanna look cool and unique? Get an A3.

I looked @ them both, but the DSG and 3.2 got my vote in the end

Didn't consider X3 at all. Preferred a car to an SUV. Plus DSG rules!
