I met Jason Teller - in Toronto.
It started as Jets A4 site then grew to what we see today. Very impressive.
I'm not sure what the relevance of it being a "US based website anyway!!!" is. Does that confer some sort of cultural ownership and we all need to pay our due respects to the mighty Uncle Sam?
Our common link is more related to the 4 rings than what country we live in surely? !!
Cheers

No but it does mean that the site will get more hits from the US seeing as there are 100m of them....
OK so we all know that our US brothers don't bother to search the past links but I think it's a bit rude to blow people away just for asking the same questions. How often do we see questions about chipping or brake problems or even the old fav creaking doors.
This is only my 5p worth anyway.
Cheers
Tony
PS Greg I had an amazing holiday in NZ last year and took some excellent pics on in the South Island, only wish I were driving my A3...

Quoting you:
"How can the Golf Gti be type approved in the states, but not an A3 from Germany. They have the same platform, are of a similar shape (i.e. hatchback). Plus the A3 gets something like 4 or 5 (out of 5) in the Euro NCAP tests."
You said it. It's not that A3 is not approved in the US. But if Audi brings A3 into the US, it will HURT the sales of VW GTI and Golf, which they're having problem selling already. And based on that numbers, they probably think A3 sales won't be to good either. So it's all about the money.
If you ask me, why is it okay to sell both A3 and GTI/Golf in Europe? Just look at it, the number of small hatchbacks in the Europe are like 1000X the number in the US. There is a HUGE market there for small powerful hatchbacks. But not in the US. In here Jetta is more popular than Golf.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I live in the US, btw.
