How does the exhaust note compare? A3 3.2 vs R32
Hello everyone,
I can't seem to find any good videos of the A3 3.2, and there aren't too many of them on the road. How does the (stock) exhaust note of the A3 3.2 compare with the R32? I know they both have the same engine, so I'm hoping there's some similarities.
I really like the sound of the R32, but being in Canada means we don't get the R32. The A3 3.2 is the next best alternative. Thanks for your help!

Not stock, but A3 3.2 w/ milltek. I made the video a while ago...I think it sounds much nicer now.

I have an 04 R32 and 08 2.0T A3 and...
I have also driven the 3.2 and the R32 IMO sounds much deeper, louder, and "better" once the flapper is open. I have many people ask my what type of exhaust I have and are shocked to find that it is OEM. A3 much quieter.

Yes, with a milltek the A3 3.2 sounds great
But I think the A3 is more subdued even with Milltek than a MkV R32. I prefer the growl of the A3 3.2 milltek over an R32, but that's just me.
I had several people at my last track day asking me what type of exhaust I had, and one instructor said it sounded great when I passed him and his student.
