How many of you bring your cars to the dealer to do an oil change?

satisfaction varies from dealer to dealer.
Oil changes are pretty simple and hard to screw up . . . . but then there are exceptions . . ..

if you take it to the dealer.
That is assuming you change the oil every 5k, which though arguable with today's synthetics, is cheap insurance against engine problems.
For the changes the dealer doesnt cover Id rather save the $50 in dealer labor cost and do the work myself. Get to know your car a little better.

driver provided that the dealer actually uses a good 502 oil. I do every 5k changes (and actually changed the oil at 1500). On the ones the dealer doesn't do, I'll probably just drain and refill and leave the same filter on (as per Audi Junkie's rec).

Unless you really are telling me to go to the dealer to pay for non-covered changes, which I wont do, because I am perfectly capable of doing an oil change myself.

I see that the fiter is not a spin-on and requires a special drain tool. does anyone know were I can get this tool or can it be drained without it? In addition, were can I buy spin-off filters?
