How are you A3 iPhone guys doing car charging?

Just got one today.
I don't have the iPod stuff on the radio, but from what I can tell, that's problematic on charging 3G phones, unless something has changed.

Older models could use 12v or 5v input, newer ones only use 5v, so the converter is more than just a pin-adapter.
Accessory manufacturers were told to design for the newer charging specs a long time ago, clearly many ignored the advice. Props to CableJive and Scosche for coming out with adapter solutions while other accessory manufacturers (I'm looking at you, DICE...) are still sitting around with their thumbs up their asses.
