Default I don't need no stinkin'Quattro!.....................

Today we had our first major snow storm of the year here in SE Michigan. Earlier this year I traded my '03 A4 3.0Q Tip for an'06 A3 2.0 6MT. I was apprehensive about whether the A3 with no Quattro would be any good in the snow compared with the A4. The road conditions ranged from hard-packed snow to unplowed roads with several inches. I needn't have worried. My A3 handled great! I had fun blasting around in the snow. The traction control in conjunction with the new Yokohama YK520's I put on a couple of weeks ago replacing the OEM Conti's worked extremely well. Granted, not quite as good as the A4 with Quattro, but more than adequate for the few days each year that the roads are actually snow covered.

Shlike out!

Haven't wanted it yet. Might want 4x4 when I move to the mountains and need to pull a horse trailer
