Lol, in 2-3 years after driving through hoards flying rocks in SLC you can say you've been saved too

but if you want to know why its because IMHO the edge left by clear bra even on the best jobs always looks sloppy and cheap on the hood, I personally would rather have stone chips they are less noticeable. This is the equivalent to a plastic cover on the couch, yes your protecting the car, but at the expensive of ruining and not fully enjoying what you bought in the first place.

I agree,very dark tint does not look as good on the A3.
