I need designs/ideas please
Okay, here's the deal; I'm an industrial designer teaming up with an engineer to develop accessories for all VW's and Audi's. I need ideas and/or designs for accessories that you would want in our cars. Accessories such as anything you can add on, trim included. NO PERFORMANCE products. Bodykits maybe. In return once product is approved and developed, will receive the first prototype.
A little of background info: I worked for Sharper Image, Corporate. I was one of only 2 designers. I now design and develop fitness equipment for 24 hour fitness and Bally's.
So i need DESIGNS or IDEAS. Anything practical.

people always like cabon fiber
interior trim, front lips, rear spoilers, shifters, ac vent trim surrond, rear valence, etc. people eat that stuff up.
a carbon fiber front filler panel might be cool.

How about a gear shift plate like in a ferrari. Get rid of the boot and show the 6 gears.

How about the Aluminum Roof Rails available on the European model A3
Apprearantly, they will not be available to order till 07'through the US Audi Dealerships. It's a $270 option in Europe and we can't get it here.

-a non-glossy (matte) wooden trim package.
-black headliner
-some kind of oem looking compass accessory
-TOW HITCH!!!!
-oem looking way to integrate garmin or other NAV unit into space underneath A/C controls in single DIN radio equipped cars (custom faceplate to recieve NAV unit)

Before you go for a gated shifter talk to people who have used one, or try one for yourself. They make for very balky shifting, and are often a performance decreasing piece due to the gates.
