Default i need a nice torx bit set...

I am going to be doing my first incremental (30k) oil change in about a week and I am trying to make sure my toolkit is prepared for the basic needs. for instance, torx bits.

would you recommend any decently-priced sets at your local tool retailer? have any online retailers that you swear by that are fair?

how about this auction?

would something around 20 (shipping incl.) for this set be about right?

Default i would hit that for 20 bucks

decent price at 30 even. FWIW those look like impact sockets witch isn't all bad but it makes it hard to fit them into really tight places, the kind of tight places that make you wish you had paid someone else to do the job. i also think that the craftsmen sockets are good enough for occasional home use.

Usually European trans/clutch/driveline, occasionally brakes-not for tinkerers.

Default commonly needed to instal studs

where you have to thread the stud into something and then put a nut on it. not sure what on our cars uses fasteners like this. it is a common way to bolt things into aluminum heads though.
