Default I3 Recall - ECU Software Update Performed Today

I had by 15K service done today. The dealer indeed performed the I3 recall to update the ECU software. The must report that car is much smoother now at idle. Turbo lag is non-existent and the power band is very smooth. In addition, the car is easier to start. I always found it would take too many cranks to start.

Next week I plan to go back to my local speed shop to re-flash to the latest APR code. I can't wait to feel the new power curve from APR.

Anyone else have good results with the updates - with or without APR?

Default Had the recall done last month.

Honestly don't notice any difference to pre-I3 recall.

Now, on the A4, after the recall, they wiped out the APR program on it, so I definitely could tell the difference. Just had the APR put on yesterday and it seems to be the same as prior to the recall flash. I wasn't really expecting the APR reflash to be any different than the original APR program.

Default Interesting... I definitely notice some bug fixes...

The engine turns over right away. It no longer goes through the cylinders twice before starting. It is also supposed to eliminate some of the false engine check codes and clutch interlock issues that I have been experiencing. Time will tell for those items.

Default Odd, my car didn't have any of those symptoms.

My car was one of the very first sold here, so maybe the later cars had those issues.

My car was most definitely smoother after the 'I3' update and no bullchit codes anymore.
