I just got the Ice-link plus for christmas (connection in glove box). It will play the songs through the head unit but i can not change songs, or playlist with the Head Unit or the ipod???
Anyone else have this problem? I know people have gotten it to work with their A3's so whats the deal?

Have you downloaded the new firmware for the ipod? My understanding is that the stock Apple firmware needs to be reflashed with the Dension firmware.

http://www.hackmycar.com/forum/index.php?act=SF&f=4&st=</a

very cumbersome to control the iPod through the head unit IMO, plus I like looking at the iPod display.
I just use the "classic" mode and use the iPod controls.

I haven't had any problems. I have an IceLink Plus connected through the connection in the glove box. I've tried both a 3rd generation iPod and an iPod nano. I can control things through the head unit (I have the Bose premium surround), and switch things through the head unit to have manual control on the iPod.
The nano works better than the disk based iPod, since it responds faster to song changes. Changing songs quickly in succession doesn't always work, since it seems that the IceLink sometimes tries to change to the wrong song, but it works better with the nano than the 3rd gen iPod.

there is a big difference, the audi kit is not an ice>link. the audi kit is not plug and play. the dealer wants two hours to install it, and looking at the box i can see why. there are wires and crap everywhere and you have to remove the GB to get to the stuff...
