Default ice>link plus installed

I just got ice link plus installed and it works great. I had difficulty finding the right part since I didn't want to pull the radio out. Order page on Dension website has option to chose from either HU cable or CD changer cable, but the changer cable was 13 pin round(for old ones with cd changer in the trunk), but A3 with Concert II have prewired 12 pin rectangular connector in the glove box , but this really nice guy at Desion USA helped me getting the combination I needed. I ordered ice link for Audi and VW CD changer connector, so I didn't have to pull the radio out. I simply connected the VW CD changer connector to prewired harness in the glove box and connected my iPod. That's it, it took me less than 10 minutes to install it. Even though VW 12pin CD changer connector was about 1 or 2 millimeter shallow so the connector latch wouldn't click in, I used electrical tape to secure both connectors. btw, you have to drill a hole in the cd changer plastic housing(you can simply pull it out) in the blove box to pass through the ipod dock cable.)

Default Do you have Satellite Radio installed also?

Do they both work as advertised?

No, I don't, but I'm thinking about installing it. According to PD performance, you can use both.

Default As long as you use the 12-pin CD changer connector, SAT works too

I have Nav+ (w/SD cards), XM and iPod via the changer port. I pulled out my 6-disk changer and plugged in an old Blitzsafe that I used in older VWs and it works just fine. If I can't get full song titles on the Nav+ display, I'd rather control (and see everything) on the iPod. I find this preferable to the 5 or 6 playlist solution that give you just track info (emulating a CD changer).

Default does the audio cut-out when changing tracks?

i have the iceLink installed but the Audi version connected to the back of my stereo. if i use the car's controls to advanced tracks, it skips 1-second of the beginning audio.

Default I don't like the playlist control approach either...

I had a Blitzsafe in my BMW until I got the A3, I'd have to agree that control over the iPod is more important to me than being able to see track info or advance tracks thru factory controls. In fact I rarely setup playlists on my iPod anyway, the beauty of the scroll wheel interface is that you can actually search an entire song library with relative ease.

Is Dension, or Audi, or anybody else working on a more advanced version that would let you have full control of the iPod? Particularly w/ Nav+ and the scroll wheel... seems like you should be able to have a killer integration w/ full control & display thru the head unit.
