FWIW, I have a 24 valve GTI, w/leather, lux and tech packages. I would love for my next car (the next gen of this platform) to be the 3.2 quattro version of this platform, in three door, with leather, sunroof, upgraded stereo, climatronic, etc, etc. And, I would really love it to be an Audi. I view the car as an upscale small urban car. I don't want a four door sedan. I don't want an econobox. I want a small car with plenty of power, quality interior, luxury options, etc, etc. Once you get over ego demanding you drive a BMW 3 series or a Porsche, you'll see this fits perfectly.

P.S. I drove Porsches for 25 years, and my current car is just as much fun in day to day driving, but much easier to live with and much more practical.
