Interesting "Problem".... Or is it?
Had my ECU flashed last dealer visit due to "key turn no start" issue, Since, S mode seems strange.
Off the line from a complete stop, car revs to 2200 and "launches" off the line.. It was wierd the first time... Im like my car aint going, than wham off in a flash.
I cant think that some how i got launch control - does anyone elses 3 do this in sport mode... In D it goes like normal no delay, so i dont think its just the DSG normal delay in 1st

Was your foot on the brake?
IIRC launch control procedures are that you have the left foot on the brake, right on the gas and rev . . . . then release the brake when the RPMs are at 3k
