Default Bonk - MikeSS is correct on all counts...

The original kit 8E0-051-444 is not the A3 specific kit. The A3 kit is not yet available. If installed as specified in the manual you will disable your SAT radio.

Default Bonk - Remember to strip the black sheilding off the VW cable and seperate the joined wires...

It is important that you have all 10 wires separated...

If you have soldered before this will take you approximately 30 min. I drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the back of felt lined box itself. Pushed the iPod cable through the grommet first (easier this way) and then poked the cable /w grommet through the hole in the back of the box and then seated the grommet.

Default So let me get this strairght,

If i wasnt to just use teh cable already coming into the glovebox I have to use the PIE adapter, otherwise I'll have to plug right into the back of the stero with any other adapter?
