Default John, I'm sorry to break the news but your car is officially the wrong colour

After extensive research on NedK's site he concludes that Nogaro is the fastest colour followed by Imola yellow - silver and black tie in 3rd place. So maybe the next mod for that extra few mph is a respray! Hehehe!

Although his research was carried out on S4's there should be no reason not to extend this principle to other models. Bloody difficult to double blind this trial Ned!

P.S. I rekon, contrary to this evidence, that the red flash on the 1.8T accounts for at least an extra 5mph - smooths the airflow over the boot.

Hope this research is government approved

Default Those were highly precise measurements...

I'm not sure you could assume you'd get the same results on an A3 ;-)
Rob

I really don't like those cheesy bright colours, you stick out toooo much and just bring attention to yourself, especially the rozzers. The faster colour is Black especially at night, but I do like silver, which is the true colour of choice for me on an S4!

Just imagine your car without the extra weight of 4wd drive and another 20bhp, brings my 0-60 to the same as an S3! exhaust & intercooler for me next will give me 220bhp! mmmmmm oh yeah and racelogic traction control, the modern way of doing it......

Default Hmmm

You and I are in for a quick race, you take all the "advantage" your lightweight 2WD car with racelogic traction control offers you and manage to get in front. Then we both enter a twisting B-road with sharp bends and suddenly I have to stop to call for help as you ended up on a tree top (you are perfectly o.k., no harm done). Just imagine...

Default Traction control, the modern way of doing it?????

yeah right!!!
traction control gives control by DISABLING traction.
AWD gives traction control by ENABLING traction.
The huge difference in traction compensates by several hundred percent the disadvantage of the small increase in weight (equivalent to a passenger in the car.
Over 200hp 2WD=wheelspin or traction control working overtime.
The modern way??? I think not John, if so why are BMW and Merc working overtime on an AWD to counter Audi eating into their markets.
Game, set and match I think eh Ravenx??
Greg Spark
