I can't stand ESP. It's way too conservative. it totally bogs down the engine with the smallest slip. It's just plain annoying.

Default Only when racing someone. Not often.

I did race a BMW Z4 with ESP on the other day. Kicked its A$$! Here is the situation.

I was at a light waiting for it to change, and this Euro brother pulled up next to me. What I mean by that is, a guy wearing a pink polo shirt with the collar turned up like Elvis, and enough gel in his hair to poke a hole in his convertible top. He looked over at me with a look of a Beverly Hills snob. Then he started staring at my girlfriend. Hell NO! He was going down! Going down because, I Don't Like Himm! The light was about to change and he started revving his over priced engine. The light turned yellow, then green. ( lights in Germany do that) I dropped the clutch and the tires started to spin a little so I eased off just a small amount tell my speed picked up. First gear was a memory as I shifted quickly and smoothly into second. Then I looked, and Euro brother was a cars length behind me. I slowed down a little and he passed me looking the other direction in shame. That's right Euro brother, you have been owned!!!

Just a little story. Kind of got off in a rant there.

So for you who turn it off, do you turn off phase one or phase two?

I have no issue with it on - unless pushing hard.

Should have baited him and tapped his rear bumper to send him spinning off the road.

What do you mean by Phase 1 and Phase 2 on ESP?

Phase 1 (click) = traction control off. Phase 2 (long press) ESP off. So, what are you doing?
