Just curious, who here drives with ESP off?

Re: Only when racing someone. Not often.
Nice. I had a similar story but with a 645 convertable. same results! i love toasting bimmers. however, i had a short run with a brand new 330. i got cut off by another car, but i think the 330 would have edged me out by a little bit. both cases i had esp on. i tend to forget to turn it off as it automatically resets to being on everytime you start up the car.

No trick. Either click it once, or hold it down longer once.
PS: maybe my using the word 'phase' was confusing. I should have said 'condition' or something to that account. Oh well, my English sucks!

Clicking it lights the ESP light in the display...holding it down
for a few seconds simply turns it off. This is true whether I hold it down from "ESP on" state or after one click.
I have a US car and I suspect the US lawyers at AOA messed with the function that most of the rest of the world gets.

Dosen't work on My Car!
When holding down the ESP button for 3 seconds or just pressing it,it only illuminates the Yellow Skidding Car light on the dash.It does not turn on the ESP light on the display as described in the manual. Is this feature not on the US model 3.2 Quattro like the Launch Control?

Re: Clicking it lights the ESP light in the display...holding it down
Same here, US spec car, single click does something, long (3s) click does not show the 'ESP disabled' message on the console. I'm suspected we've got the nerfed version of 'ESP off' in the US, would not surprise me...
