Default Just some pics before I leave you..sniff..

I'll be outta here for 5 days. Threw the new wheels on really quick this past week, so I pulled them today, ReJex the inside, and outside again, repainted my calipers. sweet. Go Phils.

Default Speaking of tools....I learned that one of them locates the rim to the wheel as in one of your picx

However, when I look through the rest of my tools in teh trunk I see a coiled piece behind the location of the jack.

Question: What is that single loop coiled piece used for?

Default One reason you have rubbing every once in a while w/ et45..

could be the fact that you're running a 235/45/17. That tire is 1.4% taller than the stock set-up and 10mm wider. Idealy you want the aftermarket wheel/tire set-up to have the same rolling diameter as stock. It's important for things like your speedo, anti-lock brakes, final drive ratio, etc..

1.4% is no big deal. when your speedo reads 60mph you're actual speed is 60.9. But the extra height combined with the extra width... and the drop and the 45 offset... it starts adding up and *blam* it rubs every so often.

My set-up is .9% taller but without any extra width and much less sidewall on the tire (tighter). So even tho it's 19s it takes up a lot less space in the fender. So yea, that's my theory. There's nothing wrong with your suspension.

below is a link to a tire calculator. Maybe it's old news but there it is. Just plug-in the stock tire and you can see how different tire sizes will effect things.

I considered running a 235/35/19 and even though it'll probably fit w/o rubbing... it's 2% taller, it's wider and it's heavier... so I figured why bother?

Nice clean-up job BTW.<ul><li><a href="http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html">Tire calculator</a></li></ul>

Default Didn't I tell you this quite a few times before?

I specifically remembered telling you to sell the 235s and buy a proper set of 225s.

BTW, still looking for menzerna?
