Koni adjustable suspension on 1.8TS
Forgot to mention that I drove an otherwise standard '00 model A3 1.8TS with a Koni fully adjustable suspension kit fitted a few weeks ago. What a revelation! The handling is far superior to standard, still understeers a fair amount but steering is far sharper and more direct, body roll is less noticable and, of course, the cave found usually between the arch and wheel is gone improving the looks amazingly. Biggest surprise of all was that, unlike many other lowered suspension packages in other cars I have tried, the ride quality is on a par if possibly even slightly improved to the standard "sport" suspension. Car feels smoother and less wallowy without a rock hard, tooth shaking ride. It feels much better planted to the road and inspires more confidence in fast road driving. Sadly I could not blag the car for a track session so I don't know if it improves that aspect of driving but on the road it is definately money well spent - about £850 according to the receipt in the glovebox!
DHA - one for you?? I know you are looking for improvements.

Thank you David
Yes I saw that Koni adjustables with H&R springs are £450. I think that is excluding VAT and fitting. Total + VAT is £530. Anyone know how much it would cost to fit? The H&R full set is about £1000 all in fitted.
I guess the results would be pretty similar.
Thanx again
