Default Is the last half-inch of your A3 gas pedal firmer?

If I floor it, there's a half inch at the end that's slightly, but very noticably more difficult to push through. Is this normal? Is it a feature?

Default Is yours a DSG?

Could be the kickdown?

Default Yup - what's a kickdown? =)

Is that what tells the car to drop all the way down to 2nd?

Default Yeah.

Usually it drops 2 gears I think, although it depends on the circumstances.

All automatic/multitronic/DSG Audis have them.

It's especially fun in the Multitronic cars, because there's no actual shifting. When you hit the kickdown, the RPMs just jump instantaneously to about 6000 and just stay pinned there
