Default Local pride landmark thread:

Hey y'all. Let's post up pics of our cars in front of locally famous landmarks. So do it like this. Just call out the spot in the subject line and maybe a quick line or two about the landmark. I'll start this machine.

Default COIT TOWER (San Francisco)

So as folklore shares with us, this is the act of a desperate and lonely widow. In 1765 a woman by the name of Ethel Guffington commisioned the construction of this local landmark. Widowed and newly single, she was hot to trot, and had a facination with men in uniform. She had a romantic rendevous with a firefighter nearly half her age, and as a testament to his below waistline stature, erected this noble lookout tower. The cap up top reminded her of an evening of no-holds-barred physical intimacy.

Others historians will occasionally claim that this monument is not phallic, and is actually a building meant to evoke the vision of a giant firehose nozzle, dedicated to the firemen and women who battled the glorious blaze of 1543 in the financial district.

One way or another it definitely represents someones nozzle, and us San Franciscans couldn't be happier to look at this giant concrete thingy-ma-bobber.

Default I think that I saw your car on 280 on Monday evening heading out of SF...

I was up ahead in the fast lane, but I could see what I believe to be your car back in the distance...

San Francisco had citizens, let alone firemen, in 1543?

Default Yikes! Zero participation? How come?

Brandon- ABT lip was around 5 hun painted and fitted. As soon as I get my next large commission check I am going to have the ABT lip permanently affixed to the whole front end and resprayed to look like one piece. Quoted a cool G to get that done though!

Corrado79- Yes, the west coast pilgrims brought fire brigade buckets and then they proceeded to settled the city in the name of St. Francisco Slinger back in 1376. They were mostly Italians and they spoke with those obnoxious Jersey accents.

April and Jefex- Thank you for encouraging my behavior, and I hope it made you guys laugh.

PDXA4- I thought I saw a modded A4 up ahead as well. It was around 5:30 southbound on the 280 interchange? I thought you got off in DC. Anyhow, honk at a bruvva next time. A good old fashion two toot salute would be boombastic!
