Default looking for advice/help on importing an A3/S3
i would like to import a quattro, standard transmission, two door A3 or S3.

has anyone here tried this or have any advice? I know that AUDIUSA won't help. Sounds like this needs to happen through an agency if possible.

Default You need to use a Registered Importer...
...and plan on spending $10k+ over the cost of the car - and that is assuming that it importable according to the NHTSA list....

The average cost of an import is $18k plus the cost of the car...

Default Some people's kids really don't like DSG. Try a TT-S or wait a few months for the R20T ;)

Default Agreed. And allow 6 to 18 months, depending what needs recertified.

You want the 3-door S3 - the TT-S is almost exactly that.

Default supposedly FWD only on the Scirocco, and it and the MKVI R20 wont arive until MY 2011
So mid to late 2010 most likely.....
