How is it with all the modern technology out there the weather soothsayers are still employed given how inaccurate they are? I know that is a cliche, but the predictions for the "storm" have varied all week and go from massive dump of snow to a dusting then rain.
Cut to the day after the storm and the laments of the weather people of "boy, did we miss that one..."
Idiots. Fire them all, get a busty sports reporter and be done with it.
You want the weather? Look out the window.

My A3 (w/quattro) has seen alotta snow in the mountains and performed extremely well. The system is not as effective as the allroad I replaced. Interesting thing about the dsg: in reverse on snow you clearly can feel the autoclutch. Running Michelin Alpin PS2 similar to the winter allroad set-up but the car tends to slide on acceleration (low speed) due to the extra torque. We'll be floating in a lousy 16" Thursday !
I'll notice the difference with the extra snow depth; the allroad suspension lift saved me at least three times.

Haldex is the A3 quattro AWD system. "Haldex" refers to the differential system unlike the A6 based allroad which use a torsen-like differential. The haldex's quick reaction is a bit slower then the allroad system yet still safe; note I specifically indicated the slow speed reaction. I posted for others to hear from a driver of both systems. I put 148k on the allroad; 20k on the new A3.
