Drop throttle oversteer can be induced by backing off the gas or giving the brakes a tap suddenly during the initial turn-in. Have to practice that on a DSG car.

I think that what is there to begin with, will work just fine - only it's too tall.
True, the aftermarket will supply options. Will cross that bridge when I come to it. It will probably be a few thousand miles before I go looking hard. Just don't want warranty hassles or lease return hassles at the end.

some cars respond to it better than others (brake pre-turn in) depending upon how I configure their suspensions. My BMW 2002 turbo (360hp) takes kindly to it... some others dont.

I wanted Sport, but thre was nothing close to basic in a manual.
Keep in mind that tires, brakes, and engine all need broken in before final judgement. I can tell you already that the Pirelli P6 is not ideal. It's not bad, just not ideal if you want to romp.

That's the primary reason I bought it after the test drive. The power of the 2.0T in the lighter A3 also sold me.
The rest of the Audi-specific traits were just icing on the cake.
I am loving driving this DSG every chance I get. Like April said, charge into a corner with confidence that you'll be getting out of it in full power with no loss of power and no jerky motions caused by working the 3 pedals. Using the DSG paddles is just sheer bliss!

Do you regret not getting DSG? I was leaning towards DSG because I commute on the highway and often end up in stop and go traffic. As a rule I hate autos but I drove DSG and I liked it. I then dove the stick and it was more involving and fun. Light clutch, precise shifter, bags of un and $1400 less. Then I read the forum and start second guessing myself. Its tough to get comfortable with a new transmission in a short test drive.
