MTM Chipping costs in the UK
Hi,
So after reading through most of this archieve it seems that MTM are the way to go for giving my S3 that little bit extra...
Im looking at the new ECU with new backbox and middle section which should give me about 270bhp.
Anyone thats had the upgrade can you shed some light on:
What price is a good one to pay for this kind of upgrade as iv'e seen from £1385 - £2500??
Also do you get any problems with servicing from audi dealers? and i guess i lose the warrenty right?
Oh and one last thing what has it done to your insurance?

All the prices are listed there but they have just reduced them all, e.g. the 185hp chip for the 1.8T is now 650 instead of 900.

Ned,
In my honest opinion i wouldnt spend the amount of money you are talking about on the S3. Your best bet is to go out and buy yourself an "S" reg (Last of E36) M3 Evolution Coupe. I currently have an S3 which i purchased around 3 months ago, i must say that its a let down compared to the M3 i had before it. The BMW has far better build Quality and IMO is a far better car. I too was thinking about tuning my S3 with MTM but am going to wait and get myself a new E46 M3!
