My next mod: Phatbox

I pulled the glovebox compartment hoping to find the cable for a changer, but no luck. I have the Symphony II with the built in 6 disk changer and prewired for SAT radio. It looks like I need to have an adapter made and then I can put the phatbox into the glovebox compartment. Then when I hit the SAT button, I'll have access to the Phatbox. Does anyone see any potential issues?
No Cable!

Try TeddyBallgame on the A6 forum, also on the navplus.us forum. He might be able to make a cable.
I went the Ipod route and the DICE unit.

Not only is the capacity of 2 SD cards to small, the Phatbox supports over 7 different digital formats.
I like the Nav and have it my allroad, but there is no real substitute for the Phatbox in my mind. I may update to the Nav in the A3 one day, but I would still want a Phatbox.

You just need to add the external CD changer cable. Then you just hit "CD" twice to access the Phatbox. All you need then is the PhatBox VW adapter cable and you're in business.
I don't think that adding a PhatBox would circumvent the satellite receiver wiring....

There's no provision in the protocol used between the headunit and the external CD changer (which is what a PhatBox or most iPod adapters are). Only CD number and track number information is transferred.

I had a phatbox in my TT and really miss it.
By hitting the "scan" button, it would announce details of the current song. Despite the limited display on headunit, the phatbox was much easier to navigate than the MP3 interface on NavPlus.
