Default My test drive - short for now

Hi Gang,

I finally got to test drive the new A3 today. I really like it. My current daily driver is a 6 speed Passat W8 and my wife has a 2000 BMW 540i six speed so we are used to power and what one could argue should be a higher quality level.

There is something that strikes me just right with this car. Although I only took a 15 minute test drive, longer one will follow, we have been looking for a smaller high quality car. The car had a little bit of highway hop compared to our other cars, not surprising given its smaller size, but the car really pulled, and felt good.

It was a ZERO option 6 speed manual, if I buy one it will be fairly loaded, Nav, premium, but will pass on the sport package because it looks like no power seat.

At this point no real disappointments, I guess I don't like the new Audi Corporate Snout, but it looks OK on this car and if I really hate it, I'll get a older front bumper cover from Europe from the hatchback or paint the black trim piece body color.

On colors I'm wondering if anyone has seen or has a picture of the A3 in white they can post.

Tomorrow I'll take my Camera and grab some pictures, although I really feel the car looks much better in person, the one I drove in Boulder was Black with the cloth interior.

More to follow.

Steve
