Default Possibly the New Beetle, Golf, Caddy, Lupo, Jeta, Passat to name but a few

I would suggest the Fabia and Octavia would be OK also along with the Leon, Ibiza and Toledo.
To be sure you need to know the part number off of your alternator (Or chassis number and Amp spec of Alternator), which myself or someone else can cross reference using ETKA parts to Audi and Golf models, the Skoda and Seat range would be a guess.

Have you investigated getting the alternator fixed? Depending on the problem they can sometimes be fixed - I know someone who just got their alternator fixed for £20!

cheers folks!

gambba ive covered this subject before on the other place that's servers down all the time, i called my stealership parts Dept. to get the part number and he wondered why i was asking about an alternator for the exact spec. of my car as all Audi A3's are built to order depending on which extras you choose determines the higher amp equipment and so-on, anyways i explained to him my plight with Audi and he took it upon himself to argue my case with the managment on my behalf and dealt me a heavily discounted alternator fitted @ an extra £20-ish for labour, and refund on the unecessary tensioner. sterling job from that man i say and i will most deffinately be rewarding him for his selfless effort!.
