want you to sign a non-refundable deposit, I'm not sure I'd favour them with my business. Did you ask them specifically what about that combo would not sell well? Xenons would be the only thing I'd add, to make it more salable. The rest looks fine.
If I went this dealer for some reason, I might indicate that $100 or maybe as much as $200 is non-refundable, but the balance would be refundable. Make sure that the final price is in writing, and signed by a manager.
I've done non-refundable deposits before, but only on cars with much stranger combos than this.
Curious - why are you using this dealer in the first place?

That's what my other dealer (Audi of Alexandria) told me: that if it was a weird combo (like the Venetian Violet with cloth for example) he would have asked me for a non-refundable too.
Only reason I am considering HBL is because they're right across the street from me and a friend of mine know the Sales Manager well. I haven't used that leverage yet, because I like to see how they would be under "normal" circumstances.
In any case, everyone's posts have been very helpful and I am going with Audi of Alexandria.
Thanks to everyone for responding and chiming in.

Because I could cancel the first one (no issues with that dealer) and go with the second. The second would have been from a dealer who is right across the street from me. I didn't go to that one first, because I had heard a lot of bad things about their service, but they moved to a new facility and supposedly it was different now. However, the overall screw-the-customer attitude remained the same, it seems.
