Default Neuspeed SSK updated review...

I have driven with the Neuspeed ssk for a week now. It has gotten a little smoother. It's about 70% smooth now compared to OE's 100% smooth. It takes a little more effort to put into gear compared to OE. This mod is definitely based on ones own preference.

For me, it's a keeper, because the throws are incredibly short plus when I'm in "race mode" I don't worry about missing a gear with this shifter. Its hard to explain in words but this shifter syncs up nicely.

Here's my initial review of Neuspeed SSK:

https://forums.audiworld.com/a3/msgs/75242.phtml</a

Default If you had invested in this new-fangled............

IMO, the stock shifter was a little too mushy for my taste. Neuspeed SSK was perfect for me

Default A3 vs Mazda 6...again (story time)

So I'm driving to work yesterday, and guess who came zooming up behind me...yes, that black-on-black Mazda 6. She passes me up but has to stop at the next stop light. Instead of taking the open pole position, I stayed behind her. You see, I've been showing a great deal of restraint lately since my last two mods (Torque Arm Insert + FMB + SSK)...I guess I'm in "chill" mode.

Well, the light turns green, she takes off quick and I don't..."restraint my brother". The lights are not syncing up for her so I catch up to her at the stoplight two streets down. Fu*k restraint, this time I take the open pole position.

The light turns green and I 'snick' 'snick' on her a$$ with my new ssk. You know the rest of the story. The black-on-black Mazda 6 and the rest of the traffic get to watch the back end of the 3 ...they get small fast in my rearview mirror. Moral of the story...some tricks never learn, silly rabbit. ;-)

Installed mine yesterday. Definitely magnifies any notchiness but I like the throws.

Default She may have to but soon that won't be enough...the '10s' still in the lab reworking the formula.

Hopefully I'll be able to post the results in early '07

She probably wonders why you're driving a station wagon
