Got my new/used A3 with 280 miles and the CPO 100k mile warranty!
Ocean Blue, DSG, Sport, Bose, Cold.
A few observations in the drive from No. Cal to the LA/OC.
-Sport seats leave a little to be desired. Everyone already knows these issues, but I wish the lumbar was adjustable like my B5 A4. Also wish they would adjust straight up and down. Like the side bolsters.
-Seems like mine might not have the fog lights that supposedly come with the Sport package. Excuse my ignorance on this one, but are they extrenal to the main headlight package, ala below the standard headlights? The switch doesn't do the "pull out for fog lights' motion mentioned in the manual.
-DSG rocks. First non-stick car and this thing is amazing.
-A nine foot longboard will fit, barely. The headrests don't come off (unless I screwed up, which is possible) the seats which complicates it, again compared to my B5 A4 where they did come off.
-Sport suspension is perfect. Not too firm, not too soft for my tastes. Handles more neutrally than I remembered.
-Bose is ok. Much better than stock and I'm liking it more each day. Prolly worth about $500, not the $900 they try and get for it. It sounds better than I thought it would and I will be happy with it.
-Definitely dig the radio controls being on the steering wheel!
That's about it. Definitely digging the car. Anyone ever open a seat to put extra lumbar padding in it? It seems like the rear plastic cover may come off?

the sport pack car had 80 miles on it, the non-sport had 800.
The 800 mile car also shifted horribly, was not smooth at all. We only drove that one in D the whole time. The sport pack car with 80 miles was a dream. Very weird. They also sounded different, engine/exhaust note wise. The sport pack car sounded better, much more like my friend's sport pack car, which made me wonder if the resonators are different in the two cars.

...to the best of my recollection. Or maybe it's a $150 credit. My memory leaves much to be desired. LOL. Anyways, ask for a copy of the original MSRP. If not readily available, it can be requested from AoA by the dealer.

So I was wrong about the headrest, they do come off. One negative fixed. I think mine was a sport model from July?
Steering is on the light side, but not major for me. Still has feeling. No probs for me.
You are correct about the Bose cd changer, I just don't use CD's too much anymore...

That info is either false, padded, or right on the borderline of acceptable to the bank. If the deal was written on a weekend when the banks were closed, the dealer could have decided to take the risk and roll the car. Then on Monday the dealer found out the bank had rejected the application, and had to take back the car. Takes a while to straighten out the paperwork to get ready to resell the car.
