Hello all,
Picked up my '07 A3 3.2 last week...what a fantastic vehicle!
I have a couple of questions that I couldn't find answered upon searching for them:
1 - I received the call that I mistakingly received performance tires instead of all season. I am going to keep them and get winter tires...anybody know a good source to buy factory wheels (I want the same wheels that I have now)?
2 - Regarding Vag-Com...has anybody modified their steering assist on an '07 yet? When I attempt to open module "01" an error is noted that the function is not available. All other changes have been successful.
Thanks in advance...looking forward to enjoying this car once the painful break-in is over!

1) Why do you want factory wheels? They're heavy and expensive.
2) VAG-COM module 01 is the ECU; you need module 44 - Steering Assist, then Adaptation - 10, then Channel 1, then use the Up/Dn buttons to select the new value, then Save. (Instructions courtesy of OOOO-A3.)

Yeah, he emailed me about that. I can verify from screenshots he sent that he *is* in module 44, but when he clicks up to Channel 1 it gives the 'not available' message. No idea right off - somone else with an '07 needs to try it and post their results.

I purchased "VCHUC, HEX-USB+CAN Interface".
Everything else that I have tried to alter has worked out fine...it's just this function.
