New car question

Does the self dimming rearview mirror have the compass built in or is that a stand alone feature that needs to be ordered. The owners manual isnt clear on this and if it is built in mine wont activate.

There is no compass. I think that is offered on the A4,s and higher.

On the Nav+, you can set the dash screen to show your compass heading, but it's somewhat useless

since it takes that place of the other info from the Nav and radio on the screen.

There IS a compass setting in the NAV menu. It works in the center Vehcle Information Display.

NAV cars do have a compass setting, Non-NAV cars do not have one.
