New Subaru hatchback WRX coming along. This will provide some competition.

How often do you receive you VAG kool-aid shipments?
Plus Audi quality could use some help from any of those companies...<ul><li><a href="http://www.jdpower.com/corporate/news/releases/pressrelease.asp?ID=2006133">Slightly better than Isuzu!</a></li></ul>

Did you happen to look at the Audi reliability ratings?
TT - 2
A4 - 5 (same as Subie)
A6/AllRoad - 2
A8 - 3
Wow, those are so much better than the Subaru line. Oh, wait...they aren't.
Sure makes the Impreza rating of a 5 look a whole lot better, eh?

The Impreza doesn't have any gadgets to go wrong on it.......wait until they discover
all those toys people like, and install them in their cars.....<ul><li><a href="http://www.jdpower.com/corporate/news/releases/pressrelease.asp?ID=2006104">Let's go where there is a nice large sample set, shall we?</a></li></ul>

I like Subarus. I've told people to buy them. But my A3 hasn't left me stranded anywhere -
I'd just rather a rental car company have to deal with cleaning a car after a ski trip, so I rent a Subaru;-)
Remember that JD Power is about cars meeting owner's expectations, and if you come into ownership with low expectations, then you will be easy to please. It's all about setting a customer's expectations, and the higher you shoot, the mosre likely you are to let them down somewhere.
ADAC is probably the most reliable source of info on cars that actually break down.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/news/05/042805/content.shtml">You can go dig up the most recent results somewhere. I know Subaru does well.</a></li></ul>
