Default New Tires: Just replaced OEM Conti's with..........

......Yokahoma YK520 (225/45/H17) ASR's from Discount Tire. OTD price was $617.00. The OEM tires had 35000 miles on them and would have been good for at least another 10,000 miles, but I wanted to get new tires before the snow flies here in Michigan. Initial impressions are: Smooth ride, crisp handling comparable to the Conti's, and they are somewhat more quiet than the Conti's. I'm pleased with them so far. I did a lot of research and the Yokahoma YK520 has gotten very good reviews. I don't know yet about wet or snow handling but I will report back when I do.

'06 A3, 2.0T, 6MT, 35K miles, Premium, Open-Sky, Cold-Weather, fog lights, lava gray on black, Sirius.

Default Nice. Wonder 2 about cold handling, say dry weather but 30F?

I'm waiting for Spring, and will probably ditch Conti for Bridgestone's latest version of their RE.

Default After a day of high-speed freeway driving, I can.............

.........definitely say that the Yokohama's are MUCH quieter than the OEM Conti's.
