Default No Laughing Please

Has anyone tried a wood package on the dash? Back in '97 I had a cactus green A4 with ecru leather (cream color) and a gorgous walnut dash. Loved that combination! Really sweet. I miss the wood in my A3. Not sure the A3 dash lends itself to wood though, it's more utilitarian than the A4. I know of at least one dash kit out there. Wondering if anyone has tried it, and, if so, what do you think? Pics??

Example

Default Wood look may work a little better with the tan leather interior. With the gray leather interior...

you might try the piano black interior trim; someone posted it once w/pics so STF. I'm sticking with my aluminum trim.

Default You may be able to get an OEM wood kit from Europe

This would include curved replacement parts - not stick-on flat pieces.

Default Most of these kits are pretty poor quality, and......

....because they stick on top of the existing trim, the wood always looks glued on.

In addition, these kits usually include too much trim. On this kit you can see wooden bits glued to the top of the console.

If you want wood (and I would do the same with an A3) then bite the bullet and get it as replacement parts from Germany.......

There are several types of wood available.....
