Default No more Golfs

The time has come to replace my 3 year old GTI 16V. This ends a succession of GTIs. Sadly, the golf just doesn't cut it anymore. Quite apart from looking like a mini van, its lost its edge and is trying to be something its not. If I want a prestige motor, why would I want a VW badge? Anyway, having combed through all the road tests going, its clear that the A3 T Sport is the car to go for. Maybe I've just grown up a little.

Having made up my mind and placed the order, I've just cancelled it to wait for the new model, thanks partly to you guys with your ears to the ground, cheers for that!

Does anyone have any new info on prices/colours/options on the new A3? Are the terrific looking new 5 spokes going to be standard?
Probably going for the grey leather in a dark metalic/pearlescent colour. Any views?

Default Wise choice

For the German market the price will be raised 3%. I reckon it will be similar for other markets.

So long

Default Actually increase UK prices!?

I can't believe that they would get away with that in our present car retail environment. I Don't know if you're UK based, but Audi prices in UK are at least 10% higher than elsewhere in europe. I would import the car if I had the cash (and the patience).

Default Higher prices

The facelift raised the price of my new A3
about 3%. Here in germany the ESP will now
be standard equipment and this maybe the main
cause for the higher price.
Other things that changed got also more expensive,
i.e. radio, climate.
I am still waiting for the prices for the new
rims. I like the six spoke design (like the TT)
very much, hopefully it will cost the same as the
old 5 Spoke 6.5x16.

Bye

Default Re: Actually increase UK prices!?

Definateley import the car - I saved five grand!
or about 20 - 25% - The saved cash is paying for the chip and suspention upgrade!
(and a holiday!)

and I get an A3 for the price of a Ford Focus
cool!
