Default Not much storage under the 3.2's cargo floor..

Under the deck in my Volvo, I had space for CD changer & magazines, jumper cable, first aid kit, and other stuff.

There's significantly less room here. I had to get creative to store my jumper cable set by cutting a section out of the trailer hitch storage pocket so I could put two of the clips there, then wrap the heavy copper cables around the spare tire:

Unfortunately, I can't just remove the space-wasting foam blocks, since they support the cargo deck.

One idea: Replace the foam blocks with a set of thin plywood partitions to form deep storage bins, while still supporting the deck.

Default Re: Looks like the cutouts are made to hold something ...

What else do the Europeans get that we don't?

Default The one where I stored a set of clips is for the trailer hitch tongue.

Which, even if I had one, I wouldn't carry the extra weight around all the time when I could leave it home instead.

Thanks, Unfortunately, I wanted AWD, which takes up space (and adds weight)
