Default OMG I'm glad to have my car back!!

After driving the A4 the past couple of days it felt sooooo good to be back in my A3. Night and day difference. I'm glad I had the opportunity to drive the A4 actually because now it makes me feel even better about my choice. I really like the steering feel of our A3, much better than the A4 IMO. And did I mention how much quicker it is?!?

Actually it wasn't installed yet because the dealer didn't have the parts in stock. Evidently the XM and Sirius tuners in the A3 are not the same, at least that's what the service dept. guy told me. Does that sound right? It's going to take 7-10 days for the parts to come in so I have to take the car back to have them install it. Luckily it's only an hour or 90 minute install job. I'm definitely looking forward to getting XM though. Everyone I know that has it really likes it. I've yet to hear anyone say Sirius is good.

I think there's something wrong with the loaner car as the lurch or jerky behavior when applying the throttle got worse. A malfunction indicator lamp came on during my drive to work too. Not pretty considering there's less than 2 thousand miles on the thing.

Default XM rocks! We have it in my wife's car.

Was planning on getting it for my A3, but my work commute is so short, the only time I'd really enjoy it is on the weekends. Not sure I'm going to do it yet.

Default XM is great!

Different tuners = correct

Is true for most headunits. My Alpine in my Passat is SAT ready and you buy either an XM or a Sirius tuner.

Default Actually what I meant to convey is that the tuners

whether it be XM or Sirius, are actually different from the tuners being used in other models. That's what I was told. In other words, an XM tuner box in an A4/A6 is different from the one that goes into the A3. I would have thought they're the same, regardless of the model of vehicle.(??)
