I will order as soon as I can decide on Open Sky. Is it indeed too hot as my delear has suggested? Anybody in southern states wish they didn't have Open Sky? Are there any ways to cover it (like windshield) while the car is parked? How about tinting the OS?
Thanks.
Thanks.

We're still in the 90s here but so far OS sunshade + OEM tint seems to work fine; also having light interior helps a lot.

and adds a certain "uniqueness". I just had a 2.0T loaner w/o OS and I wasn't impressed: It was slightly quieter above 60, but the vast unadorned headliner looked cheap, the interior seemed much less airy, and I missed the ventilation afforded by the OS. With the shades closed, the light entering the car is not a problem, especially if you get the sides tinted (OS can't be tinted). Stratmosphere is developing a more opaque shade, but I don't know the availability.
It kills me when people add "no open sky" to their sig like it's some kinda feature. Mine is quiet when closed, doesn't rattle, and operates smoothly. I'm sure the latch problem will eventually be resolved.

windshield, and when the tint dries and shrinks it can crack or shatter the sunroof.

Did a lot of researching on the tintdude forums (professional installers & etc). They say that they will only tint tempered glass and only reflective metallic films should be used. Dark dyed films tend to increase the amount of heat in the glass.
