I started noticing some strange noises which seem to be coming from the Open Sky front window. It is not so much a rattle but rather a creaking noise.
Car has only 2600 miles on it and it is strange that some noises like this would happen so soon. Anyone have any Open Sky creaking? Any remedy like greasing or cleaning a part?
It seems like everything is very solid and snug fit. It's hard to determine exactly where it is coming from since I can't really investigate while driving... :\

I've had the same problems with mine (34000 mi), but it only seems to happen when its really cold outside, or there is ice on top of the open sky. As soon as it warms up though, my noise goes away. Is this the case with yours?

I just noticed it this morning, which was colder than it has been here in San Jose, CA (MFD was reading around 40F). So it could be due to the cold though it wasn't cold enough to have ice anywhere...
I will pay close attention to see if it has changed sound at all when I go out for a lunch run.

No creaks or rattles at all when I went our for lunch. Must be related to the cold. Maybe something shrinking just enough to cause some room for vibration?

Same here. Notice the creaking noises last week, but I live in Montréal where temperatures below -20°C are common during winter. Wednesday, temperature was just below freezing point (0°C) and I heard the noises. Didn't hear anything today, but it was little warmer (3°C).

I haven't paid attention to the temperature but I know the noise can be heard every time i drive on uneven road....u know..so the car bumps up and down....where should i put lubricator on? All I can hear is the noise comes out of somewhere from the open sky

I have been reading up on lubricant for the seals which sounds like it might help. Sounds liek a silicone based lubricant is not good for the rubber. But this stuff called Krytox is designed for applications like this.
Anyone tried Krytox on the rubber before? I was thinking of purchasing this and trying it out, though kind of expensive: http://cgi.ebay.com/CRL-Krytox-High-Performance-Lubricant_W0QQitemZ370031941245QQihZ024QQcategoryZ 10034QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l 1247QQcmdZViewItem
Doesn't seem to contain silicon according the reply I got from the seller and they are selling it on glass and windows eBay store.. sounds like it is made for this type of creaking.
Thoughts?
