The updating you spoke of was XM switching from full service mode to preview channel mode; that's ok because I have XM in my '04 Tahoe. I'll add the A3 XM when I renew my subscription.

Sorry about the mixup with the XM service; they must have flipped the switch to off the day I called them instead of at the end of the month as I requested.
