Default Paint or no paint on license plate filler

Ordered an A3.

In AZ where there is no need for a front plate.

Dealer says that his store paints the license plate filler panel the car color.

Not sure if stock black would look better than having the filler painted Ocean Blue.

Opinions?

Hmmm, with Ocean blue I have seen it painted and unpainted and I think it looks good either way. I guess I am starting to get used to the all black now. I do think it looks really sharp painted white on a white car.

Default Depends on the car color.

If I had the option I would paint mine, Lava Gray, I think it would look better on darker cars since it doesn't stand out as much. Ocean Blue is a tough call.

Leave it black. The theme of all the new Audi's is to have the nose area all one color. When you bisect the grille by painting where the plate goes you make the car look like the older cars that have a big bumper across the front. You could always buy a second piece and switch between the two, or get a euro plate to put there...

Default Second Filler

I was thinking that if I didn't like the painted one, I'd buy a black one.

I thought it'd be the cheaper way to go, so that I wouldn't have to have the replacement painted if I didn't like it black.
