Paint problem with cars built in week 28
So as I was giving my A3 its first wax job, I noticed what seemed like some caked dirt. Strange, I thought, since I had just washed the car. So I soaked it again in warm water to loosen it up, but nothing. Then as I looked closer, I noticed that it was a blemish in the paint (sort of like bubbling, but not that bad yet). And it was evident in two spots: on driver-side door and right above the front left wheel well. Crikey!
So I went to my dealer and he mentioned that the factory shipped a batch of A3's that had paint problems. I know there are a few people here that got their car the same day as me (around August 18-19). Has anyone else had the same problem? What did your dealers tell you? Mine mentioned that they will have to replace the body panels that have the problem.
