you can buy at around $4mil when one comes up for auction. Good taste!
See Deco Rides for quality interpretations.

Lauren's Trossi Mercedes; form, function, and exquisite style.
Thanks for the pics, April; the junior Z's and Guilietta Veloce spiders bring back some really fond memories - I've had and loved both.
BTW, there's no such thing as a Lotus Elite in fine fettle - that sucker'll start overheating and shedding parts 5 seconds after some fool twists the key.

time while other cars got parked, then manouver itself back and forth a few times into it's spot. To say we were amazed, would be a massive understatement.
I'm sure the owner was busting knuckles right up until the car left the house that morning;-)
The really high end pre-war European cars are nice, but we see those at Pebble Beach. They get dropped off by handlers, and that is the end of it. The charm IMHO was talking with the long time owners of the other cars and trailers - many of whom had done at least some of the work themselves.

they bought and kept the car because they loved it, and often still use it exactly as it's creators intended. Have a friend here with a '73 Carrera RS lightweight, and he still races it pretty seriously. Done it for 17 years, and he sees no reason to change course now, despite its current value of 200k. I encourage him.

it until it's a 2 pointer. Restore and repeat;-)
Besides, it keeps skills and knowledge alive.
