Default Periodic Reminder from Moderator: BE NICE...DON"T USE PROFANITY...THANKS

Yes, I deleted some posts where, IMHO, they didn't contribute anything to the forum.

Be nice to everyone...even those weird people from the US. :-)<p>Steve S4

Default Believe me you didn't miss anything

It was just Ed Owen and his foul language. Hope we don't get to see that stuff anymore. I thank Steve S. for his intervention<p><a href="http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/audis3"><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/ravenx_glow.GIF" BORDER=0></a>

Default Wow! Which ones were deleted? I can't spot the gaps...

But in contrast to your reasons for deleting the posts - which is up to you guys as moderators. I think you'll find this is probably one of the friendliest forums on this web site. We all have a good laugh on here, and "To be taken with humour" most of the time goes without saying.

Without doubt there is the odd flaming now and then, but it is not common place. It mainly occurs when "weird people from the US" (to use your words) post "when is the A3/S3 coming to the states?" But to my knowledge there hasn't been any all-out wars on here, the like of which I have read on the TT forum.

Cheers,

Alan<p>'99.5 A3 1.8TS Silver

Default No Ed, that's not the point

Read all my posts, I never used any verbal abuse, ever. Even when I replied to your most disturbing post, I only kindly warned you not to use such language without using any foul language (maybe you didn't had time to read it as it was deleted by Steve).

I'm one of the first user to welcome anybody new as we all try to have fun and share information here. But your very first post was quite shocking as you acted like a moderator and tried to tell a long time poster, who contributed a lot more than me to this forum, what's right. You might have found John's reply a little hard, but that's his style, and as I know him well, it is perfectly ok by me. If you didn't like what you have seen here, you could have walked out, or just posted a kind warning, instead of starting to swear.

Please do post a reply to this message and have the last word.<p><a href="http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/audis3"><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/ravenx_glow.GIF" BORDER=0></a>
